The Highway Safety Network has established a very successful partnership with State Farm. Through the State Farm Good Neighbor Project, grant funding is received to supplement Teen Safe Driving Initiatives. Since 2012, the project has received funding each year and partners with State Farm Agents in the Highway Safety Network’s Community Traffic Safety Project coverage areas.
Some of the initiatives include Teen Safe Driving Summits, Teen Driving Workshops, Teen Distracted Driver Billboard Contests, Focus Groups, a Leadership Conference where speakers educate and motivate youth to become safer drivers. The project encourages Peer-to-Peer interaction and provides tool kits to the student leaders to conduct various programs at their respective high schools.
