Bob Schaeffer is the Executive Director for the Highway Safety Network. He coordinated the Pennsylvania Aggressive Driving Enforcement and Education Program (PA ADEEP) for 5 years. As part of his current duties, he instructs Below 100, an officer safety course, throughout Pennsylvania and other states. He is also an instructor for the Older Driver Interaction for Law Enforcement course. Bob is currently the PA Law Enforcement Liaison Training Coordinator and a Community Traffic Safety Project (CTSP) Coordinator in Carbon County. He previously performed CTSP duties for eight years in 6 PennDOT District 3 counties. In this position, he presented traffic safety educational programs to school students, senior citizens, and businesses. He received the 2015 Highway Safety Leadership award from PennDOT. He currently serves as a principal investigator for the NHTSA “Building Community Support for Seat Belt Enforcement” demonstration grant with Norman, OK and Weatherford, TX Police Departments. Bob previously served as a police officer and retired from Schuylkill Haven Police Dept. as Chief of Police.
