Mark Alonge is Founder and CEO of the Highway Safety Network, Inc with over 35 years of traffic safety experience. He has administered over 180 highway safety grant projects or contracts, designed developed and implemented state and national highway safety campaigns, including best practices for occupant protection, youth alcohol, sobriety checkpoints, aggressive driving, and police-driven projects. Currently, Mark serves as Project Coordinator for Pennsylvania’s Buckle Up PA Project, grant administrator for multiple state and regional projects and coordinates Pennsylvania’s seat belt observational survey certification. Mark has presented at 8 Lifesaver Conferences, NHTSA regional workshops, conferences, and Occupant Protection Assessments outside of Pennsylvania. He is responsible for National Best Practice publications and sat on national committees or panels. He served as a principal investigator for NHTSA contracts, authored research publications and supplied State Highway Safety Offices nationwide with Occupant Protection strategies, training and technical support.
